How many HoM points can u get from EotN alone?
I was thinking of buying the platinum edition and getting some HoM points from EotN for a few GW2 weapon skins I want(Living Shortbow, Fiery Sword) and the Heritage Armor, the only question is how many points can I get from the Platinum Edition alone?
Thanks in advance, Merphal |

you can get quite a few points:
there are 3 armor sets for all classes, there are 4 titles from the faction points (ebon, asura, dwarf, and norn) as well as master of the north. you can also get points towards chest runner and wisdom due to the lockpick required chests. There are 13 heroes whose armor you can update. You will also be able to acquire the destroyer weapons for that monument. This does not include minipets which you can get from birthday gifts, etc. Nor does this include titles like drunkard, sweet or party. so a rough amount: for the armors 4 points (one point for any, 3 points for 3 armors) from the title: 5 (8) 2 for any statue and 3 for 5 titles (ebon, asura, norn, dwarf and master of the north). (there are also other points you can get from party, sweets, alcohol, treasure, and wisdom which I am not including) fellowship: 5, one for any, one for pet, 2 for 5 statues, and 1 for 10 statues weapons: 2 (5), one for any and 1 for destroyer (plus points for 5 weapons, and 11 weapons for another possible 3 points). not going to do devotion since it is all minipets. so at least 16 points, with 6 more that you can get for filling in the monuments. but since the platinum edition is prophecies PLUS eye there are lots more points that you will get from prophecies (more armors, more titles...)

Platinum Edition is Prophs and Eye of the North only?
you could get in theory 8/8 devotion; 6/8 fellowship; 6/8 resilience; 7/8 valor; and with your 3/18 honor for having acounts linked thats 30/50 with out me having to guess on which titles your after. http://hom.guildwars2.com Last edited by DolyakJockey; Nov 09, 2012 at 06:25 PM // 18:25.. I am not interested in any special titles.
Also, how long would it take to reach 15/50 with little to no help? |

depends on what you mean by 'no help'
If you have the cash you can buy the minipets and weapons as well as the hero armors, to get the titles you will need to play the game and work on getting lots of faction. It will cost money (and level 4 in the respective factions) to get the armors. If you already have prophecies you can get some easy points by finishing the missions, doing the bonuses, getting a few prestige armors and then buying the rest of the stuff. Getting the hero monument (pet and rare pet) is easy--especially if you make a pvp ranger.

Depends on how much and how efficiently you play. It won't be quick though.

I will be playing around 5 hours a day, 6 days a week, -ish. If there is a guide on how to get the easiest points I would be glad to follow it.
EDIT: How about only 10/50 points? How long and difficult should that be? Last edited by merphal; Nov 09, 2012 at 08:32 PM // 20:32.. |

Here's how I would get the easiest points fast:
- Get to LA/level 10 and hit up EotN real quick to get the first 3 heroes - Use PvP Wolf to get a L15 pet for you or hero, train to L20 evolved as you play - Complete Prophecies campaign - Get 1 more hero from EotN (Jora or Pyre fastest) Using money earned from campaign: - Buy 4 Bro Cloths for heroes - Buy a 1st year mini In total this will net you: Account link = 3 pts 1 Honor statue = 2 pts 5 Fellowship statues = 4 pts 1 Devotion mini = 1 pt Total = 10 pts Probably under 2 weeks on your schedule. From here it gets harder and more time consuming, but you might be able to do it in a few more weeks: - Probably want to grab more heroes from EotN so you can run with full party of them - Underworld Spider run - Pick 4: Prophecies all missions+bonus, Prophecies Hard mode all missions+bonus, FoW clear, UW clear, Sorrow's Furnace clear - Pick 1: Buy cheapest prestige armor for yourself, or 5 more Bro Cloths for heroes (you would need to get extra heroes for this) Gives you an additional: 1 Fellowship statue = 1 pt 4 Honor statues = 3 pts 1 Fellowship or Resilience statue = 1 pt You could also skip the Spider run and get both the prestige armor and Bro Cloths but I'm not sure if you'd be able to afford it at that point. And that would bring you up to 15, or 16 if you can do it all. |

The Prophecies campaign is kinda long. If you can find a friend, I would recommend you try to do the Sorrow's Furnace elite area instead. In fact, I wouldn't mind helping you get it.
Edit: Oh, but Fissure of Woe might be faster (and easier to access). Not sure which one would be best for you. I could also get you a Black Widow Spider for free, if you're interested. My in-game-name is Schmerdro Ravissen; you can either private message me with your ign or leave it as a reply in this topic and I'll find you I usually play at night, GMT -4. GW1 isn't anything like GW2, though I can see why you would make that assumption XD
In GW1 you can switch between servers with a bar at the top left corner of the screen. I would recommend you stay in the American English district as that is the one which is most heavily populated. Also, when you go outside of an outpost, make sure you fill up your party with henchmen, heroes, or other players up to the maximum size of 4, 6, or 8. If the max party size is 2 then don't worry about it, you'll be fine alone. To easily access henchmen press P, click on the tab that says "Henchmen", then add them. You'll unlock heroes when you start doing the Eye of the North campaign. And make sure that you have 1 Monk party member in a party of 4, and 2 Monks in a party of 8; for a party of 6, it will vary depending on your skill and the difficulty of whatever you are doing. Last thing, when you add someone to your friends list (by pressing N), then you can see when they are online. But if that person also adds you to their friends list then you both can see each other's location. It won't show the other person's district or whether they are in Normal Mode or Hard Mode, but it's pretty useful nonetheless. You'll also find out about Hard Mode after you finish a campaign :P |
